It is with heavy hearts that we have decided it’s time to hang up our keys, lock up and say farewell to FUNBOX. Our upcoming shows, taking us through to September this year, will be our last. 7 years have come and gone in the blink of an eye and we still can’t believe how lucky we’ve been to call this our job. ‘Job’ doesn’t feel like the right word to describe our lives since 2015; privilege and joy are far more fitting for what has been an amazing and rewarding journey for us. We have learned so much along the way and we are so grateful to all of you who came along for the ride. Without your support we simply would never have got started or made it this far. There have been highs, lows, questionable acting, dodgy jokes, epic singalongs, extended hiatuses and tears of frustration and laughter and we’re so glad we could share it with all of you. We will miss each and every one of you so much, but all good things must come to an end. The  last two years have had a profound effect right across the entertainment world and it simply has become a much more precarious industry. So, after a lot of thinking and soul searching we feel now is the time to go out on a high.

Thank you to all our families and friends for their unwavering support and understanding – and sorry for all the “no, we can’t make that night out or birthday party, but we’ll make up for it soon” excuses. To our incredible crew, designers, builders, makers and team – you have always gone above and beyond in your belief and support for what we did. You are the most amazing colleagues and friends to us. To the fans who have done the same, and supported us come rain or shine. To all the venues and their staff – for always welcoming us and any furry counterparts who may have tagged along too and everyone else who has wished us well and spurred us on. Dreams have become realities, bogies have become songs and we will always look upon this crazy part of our lives with wonderment, disbelief and huge amounts of love and affection. Hopefully you can join us somewhere between now and September for another hoolie or two!

As always – stay silly, smiling and safe and most importantly, keep singing! We set out on this path to keep the songs of past times alive and well and pass them on to the next generation – now it’s your turn.

Peas and love,

Kevin & Anya x
