You can find my favourite jokes and riddles, and I’ll keep you updated on what I’ve been up to and where I’ve been. As you probably know, I love my food – the weirder the better sometimes. So I may post my favourite recipes. If you have any favourite recipes or things you like to eat, then share them with me too.

Happy New Year to you. I hope 2015 is a wonderful year, full of of fun and frolics.
I had a great Christmas. Did the usual; ate too many mince pies and too little sage and onion stuffing. I love stuffing. I think I like it more than the turkey. Tiddles the cat and I went out for a long walk on Christmas Day. It was only meant to be a short walk, but I got a bit lost. Oh well, at least it was quite dry where I was. When we got back we had our Christmas din dins. Nom Nom! Then we spent the night watching telly and playing board games. I won.
Anya popped over on Boxing Day and I cooked her some delicious dinner; liver and jelly stew. Well, I thought it was delicious anyway. She left most of her’s come to think of it. She had made pudding and it was yummy – Strawberry Trifle. With extra custard!!! She liked her chocolate truffles that I made for her and she gave me a gift of a new scarf and gloves. They are very cosy. I fell asleep in front of the telly…again.
I got some brilliant prezzies actually – scarf and gloves, some books, a brush, deodorant spray (from Gary), a new collar, socks, pyjamas, a frisbee, some tennis balls, breath mints, a new alarm clock and a scooter!! It’s red and very fast. I love it, and I’ve only fallen off three times so far
I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens this year. It will be very exciting seeing all my old friends, and new friends too, at FUNBOX. I can’t wait to get started in ‘Pirates and Princesses’ with Anya, Gary and Kevin! You might even meet my pet stick insect; Sticky.
Hope you are all well and looking forward to a brilliant Christmas. I have been very busy buying presents, wrapping them up and putting them in safe places. The problem is I keep forgetting where I put them. Getting so forgetful! I even found some jelly sweeties I’d bought for Gary for last year’s Christmas! They were a bit green and furry, but still tasty. Oopsie.
I wrote my list for Santa too. I think I might have been a bit too greedy – as I wrote it on a loo roll and used the whole lot!!! So I changed my mind and asked for a surprise instead. (Though I hope its a new scooter; I broke my old one).
I thought I’d share my recipe for Chocolate Truffles that I have made as a prezzie for Anya for Christmas. It’s a surprise, so don’t tell her! I got help from Kevin and you will need help from a grown-up too. You will need to melt chocolate and stuff and should definitely get help from Mummy or Daddy or Granny or Granddad or Auntie or…you know what I mean. Anyway it’s a great present for people and the best thing is I’m not allowed to eat them; as chocolate is bad for dogs. Don’t give your dog chocolate.
(*Warning – this recipe may contain nuts)
What you need is;
200g of good quality dark (or plain) chocolate
200ml of double cream
About a combined total of 200g of desiccated coconut, chopped nuts, cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles – whatever you fancy really. (Not rice though, that would be weird)
What you need to do:
1 Get a grown-up to pour the cream into a saucepan and bring just up to the boil.
2 You can smash up the chocolate into little bits, and put it in a bowl.
3 Get your grown-up to pour the hot cream over the chocolate and stir carefully till all the chocolate is melted. Its should be smooth and silky
4 Leave to cool then put it in the fridge for about 2 hours. It should go pretty solid.
5 Meanwhile pour your coconut, nuts, sprinkles or whatever on separate plates
6 When the choco/cream mixture is set, WASH YOUR HANDS, then use a spoon to scoop out wee blobs. Using your clean hands ( I had to wear gloves cos my paws are so furry) roll out small balls, about the size of a large grape.
7 Then roll the truffle in the coating of your choice and set aside.( I placed my Truffles in a decorative gift box with grease proof paper layers. Then I closed it and wrapped it in paper. Then I put a ribbon round it. And a large bow, and a tag, and sprinkled glitter on it. Hope Anya likes her present)
They will keep in a cool place for up to three days (no chance) or up to a month in the freezer in a suitable container.
